Difficult decisions – 2018.05.15

I will instruct you
and teach you in the way
you should go;
I will counsel you
with my loving eye on you.
Psalm 32:8

How good it does me! I’m in a difficult situation and I don’t really know what to do, and then this word of God to me personally!
I was comforted: He is still Lord!
He guides me, even if I should make the wrong decision; – then HE corrects me. He gives me insight, strength, wisdom and recognition in difficult situations. The question for me then is often only: Do I want to go His way or make compromises?
That is why I have to keep close contact with Him, so that I know His way, hear His advice and do not get involved in false compromises that become very expensive in the end.
How good that I can count on Hi Word: My eye watches over you.
He’s got his eye on me and He’s careful I don’t go wrong. He watches over me so no one can hurt me. He has set a limit to everything. He wants good for me and not evil. His goal for me is freedom, joy, peace and not bondage, depression, feelings of guilt, restlessness and fear.
He wants to counsel me: I want to be quiet, read His Word and allow it to resonate in my heart. I want to go for a walk and talk to Him, listen to Him, pay attention to His thoughts. I do not want to lose this feeling of security in Him again, but instead I want to record what I have. His peace shall rule me! Yes, I want to go His way!
The Psalm continues with a warning that has unfortunately often applied to me. But hopefully experience and mistakes will make you wise!
Verse 9f.: Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.  Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in him.

Thank you Jesus, I put my life in your hands. You keep an eye on me and I trust you. You are the God who loves me!!!!
