“I delight greatly in the Lord
my soal rejoice in my God.
For He has clothed me in garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of ríghteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”
Yesterday we read how God prepares the wedding of His Son and invites all good and bad people to the feast. His servants went out to the roads and country lanes and make them come into the house of feast. The story goes on. When all were together and the banquet hall was filled the King appeared to see the guests. In that moment He noticed a man who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked him: My friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes? He let put him in tie and and let throw him outside. For many are called but only few are chosen.
Wherefrom people are getting their gala clothing? Good and bad people on the road and country lanes who lived in dirt were invited. Well, if we will come to the feast, our Lord will place us under the shower to clean us. Then He will burn our wornout ragged clothes to present to us a wedding dress instead. Then we will be blessed with oil of joy by the Holy Spirit, so that we will shine in His light. Our Lord will provide us with wedding clothes, we ourselves cannot do that. Yes, so it is in the Kingdom of God. He cares for everything, we only need to receive His provision. He is happy when His children are well dressed for the feast. Only the pride and own efforts can prevent us from being dressed in new clothes. However, what can we be proud of before God? What can I do so that God will say: What a great man? Nothing! No, I rather will rely totally on the grace, mercy, and compassion of Jesus. I prefer to be cleansed by Him and newly dressed. It is wonderful if He cares about me, heals my wounds and fill me with joy.
Thank you, Jesus, You are loving me. You cares about everything in detail. Thank you, in your grace I am pure and in your mercy righteous. I did not deserve it, it is all Your grace.
