And afterwards, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions… And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
It is God’s desire to pour out His Spirit over all of mankind, yes, over the entire world and all its living creatures. And He wants to do so abundantly, generously and exceedingly, not just a little bit. Then it will happen as already described in Acts. We can already get a little taste of this, as everywhere on earth this fire is starting to burn, everywhere there are groups in which the Spirit is working strongly.
It is like a clear mountain stream. In summer it’s only a small little stream. But in autumn and when the snow melts, this stream turns into a strong rivulet that takes with it all the dirt and grime, bursting its banks. Down in the valley the water collects in a little creek. In autumn and spring it becomes a mighty river, bursting its banks and flooding the land.
In the last days all of this will happen. The Spirit of God will overflow everything, it will cleanse, bring new life and point to the Lord: he who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Many, many will turn to Jesus and experience healing, help and salvation.
We want to experience God’s work to us and in us. Let us prepare for this by purging ourselves of all sin, unholiness and "deadly deeds", the pointless and useless time wasters. Let us open ourselves to the work of God. We desire His strength, yes, we strive for it with all we have in us, as we read in 1. Cor. 14,1. Let us strengthen our faith and trust in Jesus and trust Him more and more. He will fill us with His Spirit of strength, love, mercy and faith. And from us will radiate a strength that pulls others to Jesus;- the strength of God is not only for us, but even more for our efforts to build God’s Kingdom here on earth.
Everyone who calls on His name will be saved.
Thank You, Jesus, he who calls on Your name will be saved! You save and help me too! Yes, You are the first I call upon when I have troubles, whether large or small. You always listen and help. Please, fill me to overflowing with Your Spirit! I need this strength, this peace, this love, that is given by the Holy Spirit!
