Wailing and Complaining – 2016.09.21

Praise the Lord! How good it is to sing praises to our God,
how plaisant and fitting to praise Him… .
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Psalm 147: 1+3

Yesterday I had to clean the dishes and grumbled as this work did not please me at all. I groused although my tableware.was among them. I bitched about the others and finally I was complaining about everything. Yes, so it is when one starts wailing and complaining! I could not stop at all. It reminded me to a verse in Revelation 21/4 freely quoted: He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more mourning, crying, pain, for the old order of things has been pased away.
I realized that my niggling had something to do with bad memories and experiences. I was very happy when I learnt that Jesus heals all the wounds. He is the best address for that. When He is at my side, I need not to moan anymore and to grumble about others. Jesus sees everything. In His presence I can be calm. I can come to Him, look at Him. I can thank and praise Him. So exactly our psalm begins, with a Hallelujah! Only then comes the promise that God will heal the brokenhearted, will cure the wounds. Just so I like to do it. I say thank you and then there is no reason anymore to complain.
The Holy Spirit is called the Reminder in the gospel of John. He can lead us to Bible verses and other truths. On the other side He can make us forget and forgive which is most soothing. I really do not want to think about bad things.
He is also able to effect that my memories about bad things do not hurt me anymore. You remember everything but it does not harm you anymore. How gloriously the Spirit is working with me! Partly He reminds me, partly He let me forget, and partly memories do not hurt me anymore.
It is the Lord who heals the brokenhearted and the painful wounds – Hallelujah!

Thank You, Jesus, that I have found You, my Saviour! How else I would have survived! You are there, You heal the wounded, hurt heart.Yes, with You I may be blessed!
